Scania Brake Parts FAQS

When should I drain my truck’s air tank?

Draining your truck’s air tank is an essential part of your vehicle’s maintenance, especially for HGVs. Without proper maintenance and regular checks, you can compromise the performance of your truck’s brakes if you don’t make effort to frequently drain your air tank.

How much does it cost to replace a Scania truck brake hose?

Truck brake hoses are cheap to replace, our brake hoses cost around the £20 mark depending on the length. But if you’re in need of a new brake hose part, at least you know that it won’t cost a lot for a spare.

How many brake chambers does a truck have?

A classic 18-wheel LGV conventionally has 10 brake chambers, these are positions on either side of the 5 wheel axels down the truck’s body. These brake chambers are used on heavy-duty truck brake systems to apply extra force to brake usage.
